OTHER NEWS. On Wednesday 14th June 2023, His Holiness, Pope Francis appointed Our Auxiliary Bishop, Bishop Stephen, to be the new Bishop of Hexham and Newcastle. He will be installed in his new diocese on Wednesday 19th July 2023. He requests our prayers to aid him in his new role. We wish him every success, guided by God's grace and the Holy Spirit. Congratulations are also due to Father Michael Dolman, the Rector of Oscott College, whose parents were married in Sacred Heart Church Tipton. He has been installed as a member of the Chaper of Canons of St. Chad's Cathedral, with the title of Very Reverend Canon Michael Dolman.
