THIRD SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - A. ........................................................................................................................ Preface 2 of Sundays in Ordinary Time - Eucharistic Prayer 2. .....................................................................................................................................
"Follow me and I will make you fishers of men." (Mt.4:19).
Dear Parishioners, in today’s gospel, Matthew describes Christ’s mission as the person who fulfils what the prophet Isaiah predicted over 700 years ago. “The people who lived in darkness have seen a great light”. We too are living in a world darkened by violence, injustice, hatred, war and dead. We desperately need the light of Christ. Let us reflect on the darkness in our lives and ask ourselves: how do we let the light of Christ shine into our lives and into the world? How do we bring the light of Christ to others? Jesus calls his disciples to cooperate with him to bring the light of his good news to the world and how they responded to his call. How about us? What we should do so that we may be Jesus' witnesses to bring the Good News to others. |
