ARRANGING A BAPTISM
Congratulations on the birth of your baby! Parents who wish to have their babies / children baptized must begin by seeing Fr Arul in person. He can then check a few facts and give out a baptism request form. Please note, that to get baptised in the Catholic Faith, at least one of the parents of the child must be Catholic, and might be asked to provide the evidence of your baptism. This will usually be a Baptism Certificate from the church / parish you were baptised.
We can’t deal with initial arrangements by phone, email or through friends or other family members, but face to face only - you are asking for your child to join the community of the Church, so we welcome you to come and meet its members here.
There will be two sessions of preparation for the parents before agreeing upon a date. Until further notice, Baptisms in Dudley will take place on the first Saturday of every month at 12.00noon and at Tipton on the third Saturday of every month at 11.00am.
The next session of preparation will be held in the Parish Hall at Tipton, on Thursdays September 17 & 24 and November 19 & 26, immediately after the evening Mass at Tipton at 7.00pm. All are welcome.
